Procedures of Therapeutic Apheresis are integral part of modem intensive care. Over the last years nephrologists, particularly in Europe, have realized their outstanding experience in extracorporeal blood purification as fundamental to offer Therapeutic Apheresis as an interdisciplinary service in hospital as well as in out-patient settings. Plasma exchange has been replaced in a growing number of countries by many selective apheresis techniques, based on filtration or adsorption technologies. This webinar will focus on the European perspective on selective apheresis procedures, showing the benefits derived from their use and the new opportunities that might arise.
